Thanks to everyone who joined us in the Havener Center yesterday! I think we had a great discussion about the Amazon wildfires, as well as lots of other environmental and social issues. Over the next few weeks, we will explore similar topics that are a little closer to home.

As previously mentioned, the Havener Center is not available on September 5 or 12. Therefore, we will meet in the library:

• September 5: Room 202
• September 12: Room 302

At that time, we’ll decide how to proceed. Meeting in the Havener atrium gives us more visibility; meeting in the library may be more conducive to discussion. Let’s see how it goes.

We will meet at 11 am on Thursday, August 29, in the Havener atrium (table 10) to discuss the recent wildfires in the Amazon. I’ll bring some snacks and my own lunch; feel free to bring yours. Look for our banner. Hope to see you there!

On September 5 and 12, though (inconveniently the dates of our second and third meetings!), the Havener atrium is unavailable. We will likely meet in the library. Watch for details.
